Ambassador Rodriguez Mancia has been appointed as Permanent Representative of Guatemala to the United Nations in New York effective September 1, 2022. She is the first Guatemalan woman to hold this post.

She was until August 31, 2022 Permanent Representative of Guatemala to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva, Switzerland.

She has been serving at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Guatemala since February 1990. During that period she served as First Secretary and Consul and latter as Minister Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Guatemala to the European Communities and Embassy of Guatemala in Belgium, the Kingdom of The Netherlands and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Deputy Permanent Representative of Guatemala to the World Trade Organization, Deputy Permanent Representative of Guatemala to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva, Director General for International, Multilateral and Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guatemala, Alternate Governor of Guatemala to the Common Fund for Commodities, Permanent Representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, Permanent Representative of Guatemala to the United Nations Office in Vienna, UNODC, UNIDO, AIEA and CTBTO. She has served as Ambassador of Guatemala in The Netherlands, the Kingdom of Spain and the Federal Republic of Austria (concurring with Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovak Republic, Republic of Slovenia and Romania).

Before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guatemala she worked as Programme Assistant at the Guatemala Desk at the UNICEF Area Office for Central America.

She holds a Degree on Political and Social Sciences with specialization on Political Sociology from the Rafael Landivar University in Guatemala graduating with honours -Cum Laude- and Best Thesis of the Year Award. She was Assistant Professor for Introduction to Sociology and Professor for Foreign Policy in her Alma Mater.

She has been distinguished with decorations from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Guatemala, and from the Governments of the Republic of Chile, Federal Republic of Austria and Kingdom of Spain.
